Unique?

Uniqueness… comes in all forms: talents, traits, etc. Uniqueness can be measured on such a wide spectrum. People mainly judge by if someone has a cool talent or has been a world traveler; so basically a trait that is out of the ordinary for regular people. I find it more of the passion behind a certain trait. For example, watching someone just dance on stage isn’t a unique trait. Seeing the passion in their face and how they move in the moment is what makes a dancer stand out from the rest. Seeing an individual care about something to such an extent you can see it in their everyday life is the main measurement of uniqueness.
Some people find it hard to feel the unique quality in them. It took a long time for me to discover that quality and to pursue it. It is a long journey that one must go on to self discover such a trait. When one comes to terms with who they are and find that something they love they will embark on the journey of their new uniqueness.
Unique qualities are hard to keep up with. That is why when I measure someone’s uniqueness I judge by the passion they have behind it. If one doesn’t have that certain drive behind something then it’s probably just a phase and they don’t give it 110 percent. Once an individual has found that calling they will have that passion to hang on to that uniqueness and follow through with everything it has to offer them.
Uniqueness is a gift. One must discover it and pursue it with all they have to make sure they don’t let it go. Because who wants to be just like everyone else? Why not stand out in the crowd and be noticed for something you were blessed with having. So main question… How do you measure one’s uniqueness? And do you think it has that big of an impact on one’s life?
